Africa Israel Partnership

An Audience with the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester.

This event was organised by the AfricaIsrael partnership (AIP), the Caribbean & African Health Network (CAHN), The Jewish Representative Council (JRC), African Council UK and Precious Gems.

The event brought together the African, Caribbean and Jewish communities of Greater Manchester to discuss issues of shared interest which included racism and democratic representation, participation, and exploring community-led actions to address the inequalities

The Guest speakers where:

  • Stephenson Watson, The Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police
  • Lorraine Worsley Carter, The High Sheriff of Greater Manchester
  • Diane Hawkins, The Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester
  • Dr Charles Kachitsa, Chairman African Council UK and Vice Chairman AIP
  • Rev Charles Kwaku-Odoi, CEO CAHN.
  • Russell Conn, Chairman of AIP

The event was chaired by Mark Aldestone, the Chairman of the Jewish Representative Council (JRC).

It was a great time for participants from all three communities to ask the guest speakers questions that was of concern to them. There was also networking and friendships built at the event.
